Day 1

This safari day begins at 7:30 am with a hotel pickup and introduction to your dedicated safari driver-guide. After a briefing, you'll drive to Tsavo West National Park, enjoying wildlife viewing en route before arriving at your lodge for check-in and lunch.
Your accommodation is one of the first lodges built in a national park, offering tranquil surroundings ideal for wildlife photography and visits to the park's main attractions.
At 4:00 pm, you'll embark on afternoon game drives through Tsavo West, home to impressive wildlife including dusty-red elephants, hippos, crocodiles, black rhinos, and buffalo. The Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino) can all be spotted here. The park also boasts exceptional birdlife with over 600 recorded species.
All meals and overnight stays will be at either Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge or Severin Safari Camp.

Day 2

You'll have a full day in Tsavo with morning and afternoon wildlife viewing drives. The park offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world with large herds of dusty-red elephants, hippopotamus, giant crocodiles, black rhinoceros, and African buffalo. The park also includes lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
The Big Five can be seen in Tsavo. Other animals commonly seen in the park are zebras, antelopes, gazelles, mongoose, hyrax, dik-dik, and lesser kudu. Birdlife is abundant as more than 600 species of bird have been recorded.
Some of the interesting areas to be visited are the Mzima Springs, Roaring Rocks, Chaimu, and Shetani Lava sites, to mention a few. On one of the afternoons, you will be hosted to a Sundowner within the park.

Day 3
Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast at 8:00 am, you'll depart for Amboseli National Park, arriving early afternoon for lodge check-in. Your accommodation enjoys a privileged position in the heart of this famous park, set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.
Following lunch at the lodge, you'll have free time to relax and enjoy spectacular park views from your room veranda or take a swim in the lodge pool.
At 4:00 pm, you'll embark on afternoon game drives. Amboseli is popular among safari-goers and offers extraordinary views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the world's highest free-standing mountain.
Elephants are Amboseli's signature wildlife. Thanks to constant researcher monitoring, they largely escaped 1980s poaching, allowing visitors to spot older "tuskers" moving gracefully.
At 6:00 pm, you'll return to the lodge to refresh before dinner.

Day 4

At 7:30 am, after an early breakfast in the lodge, you'll depart and drive via the Great North Road, through the famed Kenyan Central Highlands to the Equator Point just before Nanyuki Town for a brief stopover.
Here, the locals perform a water demonstration to qualify the position of the equator, and for a small tip, you will be awarded an ‘equator certificate’. You'll drive on to the nearby 110,000-acre Ol Pejeta Wildlife Conservancy, which lies on the Laikipia plains. You'll enjoy a wildlife viewing drive en route to Sweetwaters Serena Camp, your home for the next two nights.
You'll have lunch in the camp, followed by an afternoon at leisure to enjoy the facilities at the camp, which include a swimming pool. At 4:00 pm, you'll enjoy an afternoon wildlife viewing drive in the Conservancy.

Day 5

You'll have a full day in the conservancy with morning and afternoon wildlife viewing drives. Host to all the members of the Big Five (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, and leopard), the conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya.
At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy program, the conservancy boasts the largest Black Rhino Sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species.

Day 6

After breakfast, you'll check out and drive to Lake Elmenteita via Nyahururu Falls, Kenya’s highest waterfall at 237 feet, for a photo stop. You'll enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley before arriving at Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp in Soysambu Wildlife Conservancy for check-in and lunch.
This exclusive camp, set on the shores of Lake Elmenteita, offers stunning scenery and diverse wildlife. You'll spend the afternoon relaxing by the infinity pool or engaging in activities like archery, jogging, or horseback riding.
At 4:00 pm, you'll embark on a game drive in the conservancy, home to 450 bird species and 15,000 animals, including Rothschild giraffes, elands, and dik-diks.
You'll enjoy all meals and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 7

After an early breakfast, you'll depart via the eastern wall of the Great Rift Valley, stopping at scenic viewpoints for breathtaking photos.
Optional: You'll visit a Maasai Manyatta to experience their culture. You'll interact with the Maasai people, admire their colorful attire, join in their traditional dance, and even test how high you can jump. You'll explore their mud-thatched homes and learn about their way of life.
You'll continue to Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving early afternoon for check-in and lunch.
At 4:00 pm, you'll embark on a game drive in the reserve, renowned for its wildlife, including the Big Five. You'll encounter lions, large elephant herds, elusive leopards, swift cheetahs, and rhinos. The vast savannah offers incredible photography opportunities, so have your cameras ready.
You'll return to the lodge by 6:00 pm to freshen up before enjoying dinner.
Your overnight stay will be at Mara Serena Safari Lodge, Sarova Mara Game Camp, or Ashnil Mara Camp.

Day 8

Full day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives in the Reserve at 6:30 am and 4:00 pm respectively. Certainly, the most frequented game reserve in Kenya, the Masai Mara, is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries.
This 650 square kilometre reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere, considering its size. During the seasonal migrations, Masai Mara is home to up to a million wildebeest and zebras that move into the area from neighboring Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

You'll experience the Masai Mara on a different level! Flying high up in the skies above the Masai Mara is the ultimate safari experience. The landscape below is a never-ending, exciting mixture of riverine forests, sprawling savannahs, towering escarpments, and rugged rivers.

At 7:30 am, you'll depart and drive to Nairobi to arrive in the early afternoon for a farewell lunch at Carnivore Restaurant, compliments of Afio Mai Africa Safaris.
Later, you'll transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure.
