Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

In the morning, we will depart from Nairobi around 8:00 am for a scenic drive to the Masai Mara. We'll pass through the Great Rift Valley, where you can stop for breathtaking views and photos. Upon arrival at the park, you'll check into your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch.

After lunch and a brief rest, we’ll head out for your game drive. The afternoon drive allows you to see animals becoming more active as the temperatures drop. You might spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and even predators like lions and cheetahs preparing for their evening hunts.

Later, as the sun sets, the savannah transforms into a golden landscape, perfect for photography. This is also a prime time to see nocturnal animals like hyenas and leopards starting to emerge. The game drives usually end by 6:30 pm, as night drives are not permitted within the main reserve but are available in private conservancies.

After the game drive, we’ll return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we’ll start with a sunrise game drive to catch predators like lions and cheetahs in action.

An early morning game drive in the Masai Mara is a truly magical experience! Starting just before sunrise, typically around 5:30 to 6:00 am, you'll witness the park waking up as the golden light bathes the savannah. This is the best time to spot predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as they are most active during the cooler hours.

You'll also see other animals like elephants, zebras, and antelopes grazing in the soft morning light, making it perfect for photography. Birdwatchers will enjoy spotting various species as they search for food.

In the mid-morning, we will visit a Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions (optional). Later, we will continue the drive to Nairobi, making a stop for lunch and a bathroom break.
