Travel to Nanyuki and Explore Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Depart Nairobi and begin your 4–5 hour journey to Nanyuki, with a memorable stop at the Equator market. Here, you can witness the Coriolis Effect demonstration—a fascinating experiment available for a small fee.

On arrival in Nanyuki, your guide will assist with hotel check-in, where a freshly prepared lunch awaits. After some time to relax, set out at 3:00pm for an evening game drive in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Evening drives are especially rewarding, with cooler temperatures bringing wildlife and birdlife to life. You will also pause to enjoy the beauty of the African sunset, perfect for capturing photos.

Return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full-day Game Drive at Ol Pejeta

After breakfast, set out early for a full-day game drive in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Early mornings are the best time to catch unforgettable wildlife moments—perhaps a lion stalking, a rhino rolling in the mud, an elephant enjoying a dust bath or a giraffe feeding on acacia leaves.

As you drive through the grasslands and scattered acacia, you will discover a landscape alive with giraffes, elephants, zebras, rhinos, hyenas, buffaloes, wildebeests and hippos. Take in the serene atmosphere, views and golden sunlight as the conservancy reveals its beauty.

At midday, pause to enjoy a picnic lunch at the heart of the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Highlights include a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary, a stop at the grave of Sudan, the world's last male northern white rhino, and meeting Baraka, the blind black rhino and learn about rhino conservation.
