Embark on a drive towards north, crossing to uganda, to one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, lake Bunyonyi. You'll go for a relaxed boat drive, embrace the gorgeous view and try to spot animals. From there continue the road all the way to the volcanoes area to your beautiful lodge on the bank of the lake, where you will enjoy dinner and rest in preparation for gorilla trekking.

Day 4

Gorilla Trekking - Rwanda

Gorilla Trekking - Rwanda

Early in the morning, head to the park office for a briefing and start a once in a lifetime adventure with some of the most powerful, amazing, rare and gentle human-like animals. After briefing, where you learn about your assigned gorilla family, head into the park for trekking. Once located, spend time with them as you see them eat, play around, and take pictures of them. You will stay for only an hour for conservation reasons before returning back for lunch and reflecting on this once in a lifetime experience. Afterwards, you will cross the border back to Rwanda, enjoy your dinner and a night over at your beautiful lodge.

Day 5

Golden Trekking - Night Fishing

Golden Trekking - Night Fishing

On this day early in the morning you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing and start a great adventure of golden monkey trekking in search of the monkeys known for their unique golden fur and the large hoops. Once located, spend time with them as you watch these cheeky playful monkeys feed on the nearby flora as you film them. After your lunch, start driving towards lake Kivu. Just before the sun comes down join the fisherman with their traditionals boat heading out for their daily night fishing accompanied with their unique songs.

After breakfast with the view of lake Kivu, take a short boat ride to visit Napoleon Island, a beautiful island in lake Kivu which is a home to a wide variety of birds, bats and plants. There you will enjoy a short hike, and the great Lake Kivu view from the hilltop. Begin hiking the famous Congo Nile Trail, the trail allows you to explore local communities, including villages, churches, and schools through the tropical Kivu Belt Region on the shores of Lake Kivu and interact with the locals to appreciate their way of life. Today’s hike will take you along paths with breathtaking views of rolling hills, the lake, and the vibrant cultural villages.

Tea Plantation - Coffee Experience

Today you’ll start driving a bit towards the southern part of the lake then visit the tea plantation that is surrounding the forest as a conservation and protection to the forest. There you will join the tea pickers with their traditional baskets on the back and learn about tea, which is one of Rwanda’s top exports.
From there you will have a stop over at a coffee cooperative to enjoy the farm to cup coffee experience and taste Rwandan coffee.

On this day you will go for Chimpanzee trekking, the great and rare ape native to the forest.
As you explore the tangled wild ancient forest, you may have a chance to spot and sight the species
inhabiting this home, especially the different varieties of birds and the monkeys jumping from tree to tree.
After lunch, do the Canopy walk on one of the highest and the longest bridge in Africa. From there, you can really
feel how massive and magnificent this Natural Forest is.

King's Palace - Kigali

A farewell breakfast then starts your drive back to Kigali, with a stopover on the way for a visit to the King’s palace in Nyanza. Learn about the various ancient traditions of Rwanda, get familiar with Inyambo, the long horned royal cows, and the life in the palace before and after colonialism. When you arrive in Kigali you will then go to rest in your beautiful lodge.
