Today, set out on mountain gorilla trekking with your guide. Spending time in the presence of mountain gorillas is a true privilege, as you trek deep into the forest to find them. This is one of the most memorable experiences you can have on safari.
A magical highland landscape of clustered bamboo, tangled jungle, and soaring volcanic peaks, Volcanoes National Park protects a chain of imposing mountains that rise to a maximum elevation of 4,507m (14,787ft). Today, your guide will take you on a half-day cultural tour, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which commemorates the victims of the 1994 genocide.
After lunch, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for check-in and your flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, where you will spend the night as you prepare for the next stage of your safari.

On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi, where you will overnight and prepare for the next day's game drive.

You will be based at a lodge or hotel in Nairobi, with the rest of the day at your leisure. You may choose to visit the Nairobi National Museum, explore Nairobi National Park, or simply rest and relax at your hotel.
Visiting Nairobi National Park is a surreal experience, where else can you see free-roaming wildlife with city skyscrapers as a backdrop? Lions are among the main attractions, and the park is one of the best places in Kenya to see rhinos. Look out for giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, hippo and crocodile. Despite its small size, the park is home to a remarkable diversity of wildlife.
The Nairobi National Museum showcases Kenya's rich heritage, offering a one-stop opportunity for visitors to explore the country’s history, culture, and natural treasures, both for education and leisure.

This morning's transfer to the next part of your safari also doubles as a game drive, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Explore Ol Pejeta Conservancy on a guided game drive in search of the Big Five.
There is a good chance of seeing lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo at Ol Pejeta, which lies on the Laikipia Plateau. The conservancy is one of the best places in Kenya to see rhino, and although leopards are elusive, all five species can be found here. Other wildlife highlights include cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes and zebras. With more than 500 bird species recorded, the birdlife is equally impressive.
Ol Pejeta also offers the rare opportunity to see the world's last two surviving northern white rhinos as well as a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees. Its landscapes range from sweeping savannah grasslands to riverine woodland.

Samburu National Reserve is a remarkable destination that often feels less crowded than parks in southern Kenya. The reserve is rich in predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, with frequent sightings of elephants, giraffes, hippos and zebras. It is also one of the best places to spot northern species that are rarely seen elsewhere, such as Somali ostrich, gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, beisa oryx and reticulated giraffe. The reserve also offers striking scenery and is home to nearly 400 bird species.

Spend the day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater on a guided game drive. Wildlife sightings are plentiful and may include lion, hyena and the critically endangered black rhino.
Your day in and around the crater could be one of the most memorable of your entire safari. Begin with views from the crater rim before descending to the floor, where black rhinos are the stars of an extraordinary wildlife spectacle. From Arusha, transfer by road via the Namanga border post to Amboseli National Park.
Amboseli is one of Africa's premier safari parks, famed for its big-tusked elephants and its stunning backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain at 5,895m (19,341ft). The combination of wildlife and scenery creates superb photographic opportunities, especially when the clouds clear over the summit at sunrise or sunset.
Wildlife sightings often include lions, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes (particularly in the eastern part of the park), wildebeests and gazelles. With more than 420 bird species recorded, Amboseli is also an excellent destination for birding.
