After breakfast, you will drive to the Serengeti via the Ngorongoro area. The drive from the Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park is an essential part of a northern Tanzania safari, offering incredible landscapes and wildlife viewing along the way. This route provides panoramic views of the Serengeti plains and opportunities to see many animals en route. The Serengeti is famous for its high concentrations of wildlife, including the “Big Five” and the Great Migration, depending on the time of year. The dry season offers excellent general wildlife viewing, while the wet season brings lush green scenery. The location of the migration herds will also depend on the time of year. We will use all our resources to ensure you see and enjoy this unique and special area. Afterwards, you will drive to the Central Serengeti public campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park

On this beautiful day, you will have a full-day game drive in the Serengeti. A game drive in this park is an immersive experience that allows you to witness the incredible diversity and abundance of wildlife in this iconic African landscape. Your experienced guide will use his or her knowledge of the park and animal behavior to help track wildlife.

You will explore different areas of the Serengeti, depending on the time of year and the location of the animals. Expect to see large herds of herbivores such as wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, as well as predators like lions, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, and jackals. If the Great Migration is occurring in the area, you may witness hundreds of thousands of animals moving across the plains. Thereafter, you will drive back to the same accommodations for the night.

Day 6

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

A morning game drive in Serengeti National Park is a magical experience, offering a glimpse into the awakening of the African wilderness. This early start is important for spotting predators during their most active hunting period. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs are often seen hunting or feeding on kills made during the night. You might witness a chase or see predators resting after a successful hunt. Morning is also an excellent time for bird watching, as many bird species are active.

Thereafter, you will drive across the Ngorongoro area and continue to a camp on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Main Destination:
Ngorongoro Crater
Best Time To Visit June to October (Wildlife viewing is best)

Day 7

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After a nice breakfast, you will drive into the Ngorongoro Crater for a beautiful game drive. Game driving inside the Ngorongoro Crater is a unique and extraordinary safari experience. As a self-contained ecosystem, it supports a dense population of animals, giving you a greater chance of seeing a wide variety in a small area. Lions are abundant in the crater, and you're likely to see them hunting or resting. Hyenas, jackals, and other predators are also common. Large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles graze on the crater floor, while hippos are often seen wallowing in the swamps. Because of the crater's walls, many animals do not migrate out, creating a dense population within. After the game drive, we will depart and leave the crater for a campsite in Mto wa Mbu.

With some luck, we may see a variety of wildlife, including both blue and black-faced vervet monkeys, as well as olive baboons, giraffes, elephants, zebras, and buffaloes. If we're lucky, we may also spot the famous tree-climbing lions and perhaps some hippos. The park is also home to various species of antelopes, beautiful birds, and many other animals. After the game drive, we will drive either to the airport or back to Arusha town for dinner and your overnight stay (in which case you’d be transferred to the airport the next day).
