On arrival in Madagascar, you will be welcomed and picked by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Ivato International Airport and be transferred to your hotel in Antananarivo where you will check in and do some resting to overcome the jetlag.

Locals usually refer to it as Tana. In French colonial times, it was called Tananarive. Whatever you call it, Antananarivo – Madagascar's bustling highland capital – is an enjoyable and welcoming city dotted with fascinating historic sites, beautiful green spaces and a great selection of bistros, cafes and bars.

After breakfast, you will leave the city behind and head east through green hills and rice fields to reach Andasibe.

In the afternoon, visit the Vakona Reserve, where you’ll have the chance to meet lemurs in a private sanctuary and observe crocodiles and endemic birds.

Welcome to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. This is one of the most rewarding destinations for viewing a good variety of lemurs in the wild. There's no better place to seek out the show-stealing indri, a striking and critically endangered type of lemur that calls attention to its presence with its unique wailing call.

After breakfast, you will be driven to Manambato, then take a boat along the Pangalanes Canal to reach the peaceful Ankanin’ny Nofy (The Nest of Dreams).

After dinner, head into the forest for a nocturnal walk in the Palmarium to seek out the rare and mysterious Aye-Aye lemur.
There's no better place than the Palmarium Reserve to see a wide variety of Madagascar's most charismatic forest lemurs.

Around a dozen different lemur species have been introduced to this forested 50-hectare private reserve on the shore of Lake Ampitabe; it's a real delight to watch these charming creatures folic in the trees and scamper around the restaurant.

An added bonus is that the Palmarium Reserve can only be reached by boat, a trip that allows you to see something of the remote and atmospheric Pangalanes, the world's longest artificial canal.

After breakfast, set off for a guided walk in Analamazaotra National Park, one of the best places to spot the Indri Indri — the largest lemur species — and other endemic wildlife.

Analamazaotra National Park is the sector of AndasibeMantadia National Park where it is easiest to see the indri, a large and eagerly sought after back-and-white lemur.

After lunch, drive back to Antananarivo for the night.

On arrival in Uganda in the morning hours, you will be welcomed and picked by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to Kibale National Park.

You will drive through Mityana, then the Kyejonjo district, and reach the colorful and beautiful town of Fort Portal. It is the capital of the Tooro Kingdom, situated in the shadow of the fabled "Mountains of the Moon," the Rwenzori Mountains. You will have lunch on your way to the lodge.

On arrival, you will check into your lodge, and head out to visit Bigodi Swamp.

A community-run wetland sanctuary, Bigodi is renowned for its high standard of guiding. Forest birds are the main priority of many visitors, but it's also a great showcase for Kibale Forest's monkey diversity, with red colobus, black-and-white colobus and Uganda mangabey among the most common species.

After breakfast, you will be driven to the briefing point at Kibale National Park. The trekking will start early and take about two to three hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees.

Come with us as we trek through the forest in search of chimpanzees. Once we find these remarkable primates, you'll share an extraordinary encounter with some of our closest relatives in the animal kingdom.

After the trek, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is a huge park where wildlife and people co-exist in harmony.

On arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will go for the boat ride. Some of the best wildlife viewings are done on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, passing squacco herons, pied kingfishers, large numbers of buffaloes and hippos, basking crocodiles, and many different bird species and large mammals.

Thereafter, you will have an evening game drive.

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ishasha sector for the tree-climbing lions on the Kasenyi Plains in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth.

Buffalo, elephant and various antelope are likely to be seen in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, but the focal point of our visit will be locations favored by its legendary tree-climbing lions.

After the game drive, we move to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the famous mountain gorillas.

On arrival, you will embark on a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that have lived in the forest for 500,000 years. You will enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.

After breakfast, head out with packed lunches to the park head offices with your guide. You will have a briefing about the do's and don’ts while in the park with the gorillas.

Afterward, head out for the gorilla trekking through the misty rainforest. Trekking can take between 2 and 6 hours, depending on the location of the gentle giants. Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets.

At the end of this long and exciting adventure, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi. The twisting water body, dotted with 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water, will amaze you.

On arrival in Lake Bunyonyi, you will have optional activities such as zip lining, Ninja warrior challenge, canoeing, or kayaking at 40 USD per person, payable at the lake.

Bunyonyi means ‘Place of Small Birds’, and the birdlife here is indeed plentiful.
