Nairobi - Hell's Gate National Park

Your safari begins with a warm welcome in Nairobi by your driver-guide. After a short briefing, depart by road towards Hell’s Gate National Park near Lake Naivasha - a journey of about 2.5 hours through the scenic Great Rift Valley.

Upon arrival, check into Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, opt for a guided biking or walking safari (optional, at an extra cost) inside the park, a rare opportunity in East Africa. Cycle past towering cliffs, rugged gorges, geothermal hot springs, and plains dotted with zebras, gazelles, and buffaloes. The dramatic landscapes inspired Disney’s The Lion King.

As the sun sets, return to your resort for dinner and an overnight stay.

Explore Hell's Gate National Park & Lake Naivasha

Enjoy a full day in the area. After breakfast, continue exploring Hell’s Gate - this time by foot or bike to visit Fischer’s Tower, the Central Tower, and the Ol Njorowa Gorge. Learn about the area's volcanic history and geothermal energy.

Later, head to nearby Lake Naivasha for a peaceful boat ride among hippos and aquatic birds, or visit Crescent Island for a walking safari (both optional, at an extra cost) among giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests.

Your overnight stay and dinner will be at your resort.

Hell's Gate - Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, check out and begin your journey southwest toward the famous Masai Mara. The scenic 6 to 7-hour drive takes you past the Rift Valley escarpment and into the heart of Maasai territory.

You will arrive at your camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most iconic safari destination. With luck, you may spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, and more before sunset.

Full-Day Game Viewing in Masai Mara

Spend the entire day immersed in the Masai Mara, home to the Big Five and a high concentration of predators. Your guide will track animals through the golden savannah, looking for lions on a hunt, elephants bathing, and possibly even elusive leopards.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the Mara River, where you may see hippos, crocodiles, and, if in season, parts of the great migration. Masai Mara - Serengeti National Park

Enjoy breakfast, then depart toward the Isebania border. Complete immigration procedures and meet your Tanzanian guide.

After border crossing, you will enter the Serengeti National Park, an extension of the same ecosystem as the Masai Mara, but on a far larger scale. Game viewing starts immediately as you head to your lodge inside the park.

Arrive in the late afternoon, relax with sundowners, and enjoy the magical Serengeti ambiance. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Lobo Wildlife Lodge.
