Journey to the Serengeti and Afternoon Game Drive

Your guide operator will likely pick you up from your hotel. Enjoy the scenic drive towards the Serengeti National Park. The journey can take around 6-8 hours, depending on road conditions and stops along the way.
Mid-morning: You'll likely have a brief stop for refreshments and to stretch your legs, perhaps at a viewpoint overlooking the Great Rift Valley or in a local town.
Lunch: Arrive at the Serengeti National Park gate. After completing the necessary entry formalities, you'll have a picnic lunch either just outside or inside the park, depending on the logistics.
Afternoon Game Drive; Begin your first exciting game drive in the vast plains of the Serengeti. Your guide will navigate through areas known for wildlife sightings. Keep an eye out for the "Big Five as well as wildebeests (depending on the migration) numerous bird species.
Evening (6:00 PM - onwards): As the sun begins to set, you'll head to your designated public or private campsite within the Serengeti.

Morning Game Drive and Return to Arusha

Early Morning (6:00 AM - 6:30 AM): Wake up early for a sunrise game drive. This is often a fantastic time for wildlife viewing as animals are most active during the cooler hours. The early morning light also provides excellent photographic opportunities.
Breakfast (8:30 AM - 9:30 AM): Return to your campsite for a hearty breakfast.
Morning Game Drive/Transfer (9:30 AM - 12:00 PM): Depending on your preference and the location of your campsite, you might have another short game drive as you begin your journey out of the Serengeti. Alternatively, you'll start your direct transfer back towards Arusha.
Lunch (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM): Enjoy a packed lunch or stop at a designated restaurant outside the park on your way back.
Afternoon (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM): Arrive back in Arusha, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location.
