Tour Masai Mara National reserve
After the morning breakfast at 6.30 am, you will leave for a full-day game drive with packed lunch or you can agree with your guide to break for lunch at the camp depending on your choice. The search for great wild animals continues. On the plains are large herds of herbivores grazing and cheetahs and leopards hiding in their locations. The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. There have been some 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 bird species recorded on the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is, for this reason, a visitor hardly misses seeing the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino).
At Masai Mara you will have an opportunity to drive down to the Mara River, site of the Great Migration when in season – July through October. The immense herds of wildebeest and zebra are a magnificent sight, matched only by the drama of the predators who lie in wait for them.
