Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be met by your driver-guide who will assist with your transfer to Moshi. The drive from the airport to your accommodation takes approximately 40 minutes, where you’ll check into your hotel.

You can enjoy the scenic views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance, perhaps stroll around the town to get a sense of local life, or simply relax at your hotel.

Day 3

Moshi Town to Lake Natron

After an early breakfast, you’ll head out on a scenic drive toward Lake Natron, a stunning soda lake located at the base of the Oldoinyo Lengai volcano. The journey takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, offering you the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania’s Rift Valley. Lake Natron is famous for its vivid red-colored waters, created by the algae in the alkaline waters, and is also a vital breeding ground for the Lesser Flamingo.

Upon arrival at Africa Safari Lake Natron, you’ll check in to your accommodation. The camp is a blend of luxury and wilderness, offering a comfortable stay in a unique environment. After an early breakfast, you’ll descend into the crater for a full-day game drive, exploring the lush landscape that supports an abundance of animals. You’ll have a chance to visit the Hippo Pool, where you can see hippos lounging in the cool waters, and also stop for a picnic lunch with panoramic views of the crater floor.
