Day 1

An Otter African Safaris guide at Entebbe International Airport will welcome you. From there, you will transfer to your booked accommodation for the night. Depending on your time of arrival at the airport, you will have lunch before transferring to your hotel in Kampala for some rest as you prepare for the ultimate Uganda and Rwanda Safari experience the following day.

Day 2

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park with En route Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After your early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by an Otter African Safaris guide and start your 4 to 5 hours journey to Murchison Falls National Park in Masindi in Western Uganda. You will have a first stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola, where you will have an hour of rhino tracking experience. After the rhino tracking experience, you will proceed to Masindi for lunch before proceeding to visit the top of Murchison Falls, the powerful falls where the Nile squeezes through an 8m wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into the Devil’s Cauldron, creating a trademark rainbow.

From the falls, you will continue in the park for an evening game drive where you will have an opportunity to see many different animals such as giraffes, lions, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Jackson Hartebeests, oribis, elephants among others. After the game drive, you will then continue and check into the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

You'll have your breakfast very early in the morning. You'll depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6:00 am and head into the park, and look out for different mammals such as elephants, lions, leopards, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes like Uganda kob, topi, eland, bushbucks. You will have time to relax for lunch. Afterward, you'll join the boat cruise to take you to the bottom of Murchison Falls as you spot aquatic wildlife such as hippos, Nile crocodiles, and water birds. On return, you'll catch up with sunset view before dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and start your journey to Kibale National Park in Fort Portal in Western Uganda through the tea plantations and rolling hills to reach Fort Portal town. While in Fort Portal, you will have an en-route lunch and continue your journey to Kibale National Park. After checking into the lodge, you will embark on a guided
nature walk in the Bigodi wetlands. You have a chance to spot 138 bird species.

Day 5

You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast. Then, you'll report to the park headquarters at Kanyanchu at 7:30 am for a briefing by the guides about the dos and don’ts while with the chimpanzees. You will then embark on a trek in search of the chimpanzees. Once you have spotted a group, you will spend one hour with them observing their different behaviours, and you will also spot other primates in the forest. After the chimpanzee tracking experience, you will be awarded a chimpanzee tracking certificate. Afterward, you will return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive later that evening and check in at the lodge. You will the embark on an evening game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

You'll have your breakfast very early in the morning. You'll depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6:00 am to the rolling plains of Uganda’s second-largest national park. You'll look out for lions, leopards, Jackson hartebeest, buffaloes, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, Uganda Kobs, oribis, and elephants. For any birder, there are several birds to see during the drive. You'll return to the lodge for some rest time and lunch.

After lunch at the lodge, you will go for a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes George and Edward. You will be fascinated by the concentrations of giant hippos, buffalo, elephants, and crocodiles, among others. You will also see many varieties of birds on the water's shores. You will have dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park and you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking. You will arrive at the lodge where you will have lunch and thereafter you will check in and relax at the lodge.

You will then head out for a Batwa Cultural Experience in the evening where you will see how the Batwa pygmies lived in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You will experience how they lived in the wild like how they were hunting for food, how to make fire and many others. Overnight stay and dinner at the lodge.

You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then report at the park headquarters at 7:30 am for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. Gorilla tracking exercise is physically demanding but an exciting activity! You may need to hire a porter to assist you during tracking, and these are readily available at the park headquarters. Time allowed to spend with gorillas is 1 hour when you have found them. This is enough to ask all the questions about their behaviour. You'll return to the lodge after tracking and freshen up.

In the evening, Batwa pygmies will be invited to entertain you with their dances, storytelling after you have dinner and an overnight stay. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast, you will then report to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. When you locate the gorillas, you are allowed to
spend one hour in the presence of the gorillas observing the gorilla troop go on with its daily life, babies playing on tree branches, silverbacks protecting the group, and others picking vegetation to eat. After the gorilla experience, you will return to the park’s headquarters for the awarding of certificates. Afterwards, you will return to the lodge for relaxation. In the afternoon, you will visit the Gorilla Guardians Village, where you will learn about the local culture of the community through interactive demonstrations and performances. After that, you will return to the lodge for an overnight stay and dinner.

lodge. In the afternoon, you will visit the Dian Fossey Museum. You will understand the legacy of Dian Fossey and also see her work in Rwanda with pictorial representations. After this tour, you will return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
