Your safari begins with a pickup from the airport or your Nairobi hotel. Travel south-west through the scenic Ngong Hills and the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. You’ll arrive at your Masai Mara camp around midday, check-in, and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara—Kenya’s richest wildlife reserve. Expect to encounter a wide array of wildlife including big cats, elephants, and other plains game.

Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, set out for a full day of game viewing in the reserve. You may choose to begin the day with an optional hot air balloon safari (pre-booking required), or proceed with a traditional game drive. Early mornings offer the best chances to witness predator-prey interactions, particularly in areas like the Musiara floodplains, known for lion activity. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue your adventure into the afternoon.

Masai Mara – Menengai Crater (Near Lake Nakuru)

Depart Masai Mara after breakfast and travel to Lake Nakuru region. Upon arrival, check in at a scenic bush camp perched on the rim of Menengai Crater. After lunch, you have the option to explore:

A game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, or

A nature walk, biking, or a guided hike to the crater floor.
