Day 1
Pick up and Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Pick up and Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
You will be picked up by an Otter African Safaris guide and start your journey to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Kisoro in South Western Uganda. First stop will be at the Equator in Kayabwe for memorable photos and the famous water experiment that shows the Earth is separated into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. You will have a chance to enjoy both hemispheres. A lunch break will be in Mbarara at Igongo Cultural Center. Afterward, you will continue your journey to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Day 2
Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After your early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the visitors centre in Mgahinga National Park at Ntebeko, where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the golden monkeys. After the briefing, you will then head inside the forest to search for the golden monkeys. Once you have identified a group, you will be given one hour to spend with the monkeys watching their behaviours. You will take as many pictures as you want. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 3

After the early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the UWA visitors’ reception, where a briefing is done before tracking about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to the afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. Gorilla tracking exercise is physically demanding but an exciting activity. You may need to hire a porter to assist you during tracking, and these are readily available at the park headquarters. Time allowed to spend with gorillas is 1 hour when you have found them, and this is enough to ask all the questions about their behaviour.

Day 4
Exit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Transfer back to Entebbe
Exit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Transfer back to Entebbe
After your morning breakfast, you will check out of your lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will transfer back to Entebbe. You will have an en-route lunch as you proceed to Entebbe. Do not forget to purchase a souvenir for yourself as a remembrance of this wonderful trip.
