This amazing safari starts with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where your Royal Travel tour guide will meet with you and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha to relax and settle. On the approximately 1 hour 30-minute drive to your lodging, you will be given a briefing on the many components of your itinerary and go over all the key information regarding your excursion.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Proceed to the Tarangire NP from your accommodation after an early breakfast. Observe large elephant herds and exotic creatures including lions, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, and other wildlife as you take on the majestic baobab filled park that adds amazing experience to the park.

The Tarangire River, which is another highlight of the park, turns into a great stop to see all the species that are found in the park during the dry season (July to October). Tarangire is a bird lover’s delight with more than 500 different bird species, including the Maasai Ostrich, the largest bird in the world.

Day 3-4

Serengeti National Park

With its vast grasslands that stretch as far as the eye can see, an early morning drive and early evening drives into the central Serengeti are surely one of the highlights of your trip. Rich in wildlife and beautiful landscapes, Serengeti promises a lot of incredible memories.

For birders, the park boasts about 500 bird species, the park promises a birder’s satisfaction. Species like the African Ostrich, crowned cranes, the elegant secretary birds and the abundant vulture species.

Enjoy a full day on the Serengeti immersing yourself into one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on the planet, The Great Migration. Around 1.5 million wildebeests, zebras and impala migrating through the Serengeti every year. Predators including lions, leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs, hyenas and crocodiles pick off the old and weak animals keeping populations healthy and their numbers stable. Some 300,000 migrant animals are lost to predators, river crossings and fatigue during the migration every cycle.

Day 5

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

You will depart on a drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. When you arrive at the crater, you may stand on the rim and look spectacularly down to the floor and out across the 100 square mile area of the crater. One alternative is to spend an hour walking with a ranger from Ngorongoro Crater along the rim of the crater. The rim also provides opportunity for breath-taking photos to make your trip memorable.

Descend from the Crater’s rim to the floor and experience one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Formed three million years ago, and with a distinctive habitat, the crater is home to one of the densest wildlife populations on earth and home to the endangered black rhinoceros.

Get to explore and discover wildlife species of the East African savanna in the grass steppes and acacia forest of the crater, including the “Big Five” (rhino, elephant, Cape buffalo, lion, leopard).

Day 6

Lake Manyara National Park - Departure

Lake Manyara National Park - Departure

Take on the African bush soon on after breakfast as your Royal guide will drive you to the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park.

Once you get at Lake Manyara, you will have the opportunity to witness a huge variety of bird species as well as the stunning migratory flamingos. The lake also sustains a rich wildlife in the surrounding area that ensures a wonderful game drive in this small park. Sightings of elephants, lions, blue and ververt monkeys, girraffes, buffalos, zebras will enrich your experience.

The dense tropical rainforest inside the park also offers a chance to undertake high tree canopy walks that gives another dimension to your experience. Other activities including bicycling around Mto wa Mbu town and walking safaris inside the local community around living around the National Park.

After a picnic lunch in the park you will receive final remarks of your journey with us. Your guide will drop you off at the Airport.
