After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to start your journey to Kasese. The drive will take you about 7 hours. You will have a stopover in mubende for lunch and then proceed with your journey to Kasese, transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Have breakfast and meet up with your guide who will drive you to Nyakalenga for briefing. After briefing at the headquarters in Nyakalengija, begin the trek through thick montane forest. Cross the Mubuku River and you will encounter wild animals such as colobus monkeys and a variety of bird species and enjoy great views of the mountains. Get to Nyabitaba Hut for meals overnight stay.

Day 3

Wake up have breakfast and continue your trek from Nyabitaba follow the trail that drops down through the forest to the Kurt shafer bridge, A challenging day begins with a steep descent to the Bujuku River followed by a tough climb through bamboo and slippery rocks. Cross the famous Kurt Shafer Bridge before entering the giant heather zone. Camp at John Matte Hut near the Bujuku River. Here, you have your dinner and overnight stay. The climb takes you about 7-8 hours with elevation of 854m.

Day 4

From John Matte Hut, the trail descends to cross the Bujuku River. Hikers make their way by hopping from one grassy mound to another, often unable to avoid sinking into the icy, muddy waters beneath. Eventually, the lower bog gives way to the upper Bigo Bog, which then opens up to reveal Bujuku Lake. From here, there are striking views of Mount Baker to the south and Mount Stanley rising to the west. Nestled in a narrow valley beneath Stuhlmann Pass, Bujuku Hut sits in the shadow of Mounts Baker and Speke. This campsite serves as an excellent spot for acclimatization, especially for trekkers aiming to summit the peaks of Mount Stanley and Mount Speke. The landscape becomes more dramatic with views of Mounts Stanley, Baker, and Speke. Camp near the glacial Lake Bujuku. Dinner and overnight accommodation are provided at Bujuku Hut. The trek to this point typically takes 4 to 5 hours.

Day 5

Departing from Bujuku, the path continues through sections of boggy terrain, gradually ascending the rugged western slopes of the lake. The route winds through the enchanting Groundsel Gully, a forest filled with otherworldly flora.
At a fork in the trail, veer right to begin the challenging ascent toward Elena Hut and Mount Stanley, navigating a steep incline strewn with massive boulders. The left-hand path leads hikers over Scott-Elliot Pass and down toward the Kitandara Lakes. This route is taken by those not attempting to summit Margherita Peak and ends at Kitandara Hut.
Climbers aiming for the peak will continue to Elena Hut, where they will spend the night. Nestled in a cold and icy setting, Elena Hut offers a stark and dramatic environment for dinner. Those attempting Margherita Peak acclimatize here. Elena Hut is cold, wind-swept, and near the Stanley Glacier your launchpad for the summit.

Day 6

Wake up and begin summit trek at 2 a.m. for a challenging technical climb involving ropes, ice axe, and crampons when it is less incoviniencing. After reaching Margherita Peak, descend carefully back to Elena, then continue down to Kitandara Hut for a well-earned rest near the scenic Kitandara Lakes.

Day 7

Get up have breakfast continue to climb to Freshfield Pass before beginning a steady trek through the beautiful scenery. The route winds through the enchanting Groundsel Gully, a forest filled with otherworldly flora. The trail passes alpine mossy landscapes and muddy sections before reaching Guy Yeoman Hut offering great views.

Day 8

Wake up early have breakfast and descend back down. A long and steep descent back through bamboo forest and river valleys. Cross the Mubuku River again and complete your circuit trek collect your certificate from the office headquarter then proceed to Kasese town hotel for relxation meals and overnight.

Day 9
Transfer to kampala
Transfer to kampala
Have breakfast and embark on your journey back to Kampala with enroute lunch. Along the way, you will stop at the Equator Monument for a memorable photo opportunity before continuing the journey to Kampala marking the end of your incredible 9-day adventure.
