Day 1

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you’ll depart with picnic lunch boxes in hand for Tarangire National Park (140km).

Tarangire National Park covers approximately 2,600 square kilometers and, in the dry season, ranks second only to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area in terms of its wildlife concentration. Located south of the expansive grass plains of southern Maasailand, Tarangire is renowned for its large herds of elephants, which thrive among the park’s many baobab and acacia trees.

The park is particularly impressive during the dry season, when migratory wildlife returns to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather in the area.

Our specialist wildlife guide will assist you in spotting various animals and exploring the natural landscape. Your 4x4 game drive concludes in the evening, between 4:00 and 5:00 pm, after which you will drive to the guest house for dinner and your overnight say with full-board accommodations.
