Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Experience

Enjoy an early morning breakfast, then proceed to the briefing point for the highlight of your trip -Gorilla trekking. It can take between 2-6 hours, depending on the group you are visiting. We trek through the rain forest and bamboo-covered slops, accompanied by a Uganda wild life authority guide and other trekkers in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silver back and the family, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. Due to the nature of the activity, you may have packed lunch and then return to the lodge. Afterward, engage with the Batwa people, one of Uganda’s indigenous communities, to learn about their traditions, music, and dances. This day offers a perfect blend of adventure and cultural immersion, leaving you with profound memories of Uganda’s wildlife and heritage. It’s a day that truly captures the essence of this safari.
