Day 1

You will meet with the Caracal Explorers driver at your hotel, and start your Kigali city tour, the capital of Rwanda. Upon your arrival in Kigali City, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which serves as the resting place for over 250,000 victims of the genocide, where over one million Rwandans, predominantly Tutsis, were brutally murdered by Hutu extremists. After that, you will have a visit to Kigali Central Market. You will have lunch and later take a 3-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park. Check in the hotel and prepare for the magical golden monkey trekking.

Day 2
Golden monkey trekking and transfer to Bwindi

You will have an early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of golden monkey trekking. You will join a group of other trekkers with the ranger guide who will lead you to search for the playful golden monkeys in the bamboo forest of Virunga Volcanoes. After locating them, you will spend an hour with them observing as they are playing on top of bamboo trees, feeding, as they pick young bamboo leaves from the tips of the trees. After this incredible experience, you will return to the hotel, have lunch and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Day 3

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast, have packed lunch and snacks. Then, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on how gorilla trekking is conducted. After that, begin your eagerly anticipated forest walk in search for mountain gorillas in their natural environment. Expect to see other mammals and wildlife as you go through the forest trails such as forest elephants, bush pigs, forest hogs, duikers, olive baboons and several bird species among others. In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, there is a 95% chance of seeing mountain gorillas.
After you meeting them, you will spend an hour observing, tracking as you study and learn their behaviours like feeding, nursing and how they take care of their babies. Make use of your camera so as not to miss out on this memorable experience by taking as many photos and videos as you may wish. After gorilla trekking transfer to Lake Bunyonyi the second deepest Lake in Africa for relaxation and over night stay.

Day 4
Canoeing and Transfer to Kigali

After breakfast, you'll go for canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi to explore its various islands. Following this, you'll head to the Katuna border to cross into Rwanda. While in Kigali Rwanda, you will visit the craft markets for your shopping. Finally, you'll be transferred to Kigali Airport for your departure back home. This marks the end of 4 days Gorillas, Golden monkeys and Lake Bunyonyi.
