Your driver-guide will collect you from your hotel or the airport in Dar es Salaam in the early morning for the road journey to Nyerere National Park. Arrive at Selous Mapumziko Lodge for lunch and time to settle in. In the late afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Rufiji River, looking for hippos, crocodiles and birds along the riverbanks. Return to the lodge for dinner and your first overnight stay. Drinking water and the scheduled boat safari are included.

Full-day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, set out with your professional driver-guide for a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park in a private pop-up-roof 4x4 safari vehicle. Explore the park’s woodlands, plains and river scenery while looking for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and other wildlife. Enjoy a packed lunch at a designated picnic site, then continue the game drive in the afternoon. Wildlife sightings vary naturally. Return to Selous Mapumziko Lodge for dinner and your second overnight stay.

Return to Selous Mapumziko Lodge for breakfast, then check out and drive back to Dar es Salaam. Your safari ends with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
