Day 1

Pick up and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Depending on your location in Kampala/Entebbe, you will be met by our company representative/driver guide and start your 6-7 hours' drive to Kibale forest national park in the western part of Uganda with stopovers to stretch and lunch depending on your location and time. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Chimpanzee Trekking activity - Bigodi nature walk and community tour

After breakfast, drive to Kibale park head offices for briefing about the chimpanzees. Enter the forest and start trek the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, its' take 2-5 hours to find them and on finding them, you are allowed 1 hour to be in their process as they swing from the branches in the canopy high above the forest floor.
After lunch, visit of the crater lakes near the park. Explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The reserve is abundant with butterflies, plants, animals and, in particular, birds. Spectacular birds like Great Blue Turaco and rare Papyrus Gonolek will be of great interest to birders. The swamp is also home to more elusive animals such as Red Colobus monkeys and sitatunga antelope. There is also the opportunity to visit local community projects that have been financed by tourism. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 3

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, check-out of the lodge and embark on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park, whihc is about 6-7 hours’ drive with en-route lunch. Upon arrival late afternoon, check-in at your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Gorilla trekking experience and Batwa community tour

Gorilla trekking experience and Batwa community tour

After enjoying an early breakfast and transfer to park headquarters for the briefing before you set off gorilla trekking. Trekking through the steep, densely forested hills and then finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation is an inspiring and privileged moment. Tracking in the Bwindi forest requires stamina and can often take most of the day and spend an hour in the presence of the gorillas before you return at your meeting point with the driver-guide to return to the lodge.
Later afternoon, enjoy a Batwa community tour learning more about their culture and be entertained by the Batwa people. Thereafter, transfer to Kisoro close to Mgahinga national park. Check-in at your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 5

Golden monkey trekking in Mgahinga national park

Golden monkey trekking in Mgahinga national park

After breakfast, drive to the park for your golden monkeys' track. You will be briefed about the activity before you start your hike up the mountain in search of the Golden monkeys, it takes about 4-5 hours and on finding them, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with the monkeys while taking pictures and videos. Return from the trek, meet your driver to transfer back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay at booked accommodation in Lake Bunyonyi.

Explore lake Bunyonyi - Drop of Kigali - Rwanda

After breakfast, connect to Lake Bunyonyi and explore Lake Bunyonyi on a canoe ride. This is the place to relax after all the hiking experience. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa with about 29 islands such as the punishment island, Bushara, Bwama and Njuyeera islands to mention a few. The lake is surrounded by steep terraced hillsides and best of all, unlike other lakes, Lake Bunyonyi is Bilharzia, hippo and crocodile free with crystal clear waters good for swimming.
Thereafter, embark on your drive to Kigali - Rwanda which is about 4 hours drive. You will be dropped at a location you advise. Marking the end of the Safari.
