Day 1

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi, you will be welcomed by your professional safari driver-guide who will brief you on the safari ahead. You’ll then embark on a scenic drive towards Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak. The journey takes approximately 4 to 5 hours and features stunning views of the Kenyan countryside, small towns, and possibly some wildlife along the way.
Upon reaching Sentrim Amboseli Lodge, you’ll check in and enjoy a warm lunch. In the late afternoon, you’ll head out for your first game drive in Amboseli, a park famous for its large herds of elephants and spectacular backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Wildlife you’re likely to spot includes lions, zebras, giraffes, and various bird species. After the drive, return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, you will set out for a full-day game drive in Amboseli, taking packed lunch with you. The park’s landscape is diverse, featuring open plains, acacia woodland, and marshy swamps fed by underground rivers from Mount Kilimanjaro’s glaciers. You’ll explore areas rich in wildlife, including the famed elephant families, and might even see predators like cheetahs or hyenas.
A highlight of the day is a visit to Observation Hill, a panoramic lookout point offering sweeping views of the entire park and Kilimanjaro on a clear day. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park. Later in the afternoon, there is the option to visit a local Maasai village for a cultural experience—learn about their traditional way of life, see their dances, and interact with the community (optional, at an extra cost). Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation under the stars.

Day 3

Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, check out from the lodge and begin your journey northwards to Lake Nakuru National Park, a drive of approximately 6 to 7 hours. The drive is long but scenic, taking you through the Great Rift Valley and past vast farmlands and charming local towns. You’ll stop along the way for lunch and enjoy breathtaking views at a designated Rift Valley viewpoint.
Upon arriving at Ziwa Bush Lodge, located near Lake Nakuru, you’ll check in and take a short rest before heading out for a late afternoon game drive in the park. Lake Nakuru is famous for its pink flamingos, The park is also home to endangered white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and numerous bird species. Keep an eye out for lions lounging in the acacia trees and waterbucks along the lake’s edge. Return to the lodge for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

After an early breakfast at Ziwa Bush Lodge, you’ll check out and depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. The drive takes approximately 5 to 6 hours and includes several opportunities to stretch and photograph the stunning countryside. Upon arrival at Sentrim Mara Camp, nestled in a serene location just outside the park boundary, you’ll check in and have lunch.
Later in the afternoon, you’ll embark on your first Masai Mara game drive, exploring the golden plains teeming with wildlife. Masai Mara is renowned for its abundance of predators and the “Big Five” — lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino — as well as cheetahs, jackals, and over 470 species of birds. You may witness a thrilling hunt, elephant herds moving through the savannah, or a lion pride resting under acacia trees. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and storytelling around a campfire beneath the African sky.

After breakfast, set off for a full-day safari adventure within the expansive reserve. On your final day, enjoy breakfast at the lodge before checking out. Depending on your flight time, you may opt for a brief early morning game drive to catch any animals you might have missed. You’ll then begin the journey back to Nairobi, with lunch en route and a chance to make a stop for last-minute souvenirs or a brief tour of the city if time allows.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight or departure, marking the end of an extraordinary Kenyan safari filled with wildlife, cultural richness, and unforgettable landscapes.
