Dar es Salaam – Nyerere National Park + Boat Safari

Pickup from your hotel or airport in Dar es Salaam at 7:00 AM.
Scenic drive (~5–6 hours) through rural Tanzania to Nyerere National Park.
Arrive at the lodge around lunchtime. Settle in and enjoy lunch with views of the African bush.
In the afternoon, enjoy a sunset boat safari on the Rufiji River:
Spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants drinking on the riverbank, and abundant birdlife like fish eagles and kingfishers.
The boat safari offers a peaceful and picturesque start to your adventure.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay under the stars.

Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in an open-roof 4x4 safari vehicle.
Explore the park’s vast landscapes—open plains, woodlands, swamps, and rivers—in search of:
Lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and possibly even African wild dogs, which are more common here than in other parks.
Plenty of birds (Nyerere is a birdwatcher's paradise with over 440 species).
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park in a shaded spot, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Continue exploring until late afternoon, then return to your lodge for a well-earned rest.

Walking Safari – Return to Dar es Salaam

Start your day early with a guided walking safari led by an armed ranger and local guide:
Learn about animal tracks, bird calls, and medicinal plants, and experience the bush up close—this is the most intimate way to connect with Africa’s wild.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and then begin your drive back to Dar es Salaam.
Arrive in the late afternoon (~5:00–6:00 PM) for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
