You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park at a safe, scenic spot. After lunch, the game drive continues as you explore more of the park’s beautiful landscapes and wildlife. In the late afternoon, you will drive back to your hotel or lodge, arriving by early evening. It’s a great day trip for seeing a lot of wildlife in a short time.

The drive takes about 2 to 3 hours, and you enter the park around mid-morning. Once inside, your game drive begins, taking you through the park’s open savannah, woodlands, and river areas. Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds, huge baobab trees, and wide variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and many species of birds. Around midday, you’ll stop at a picnic site inside the park for lunch, where you can enjoy your meal while surrounded by nature. After lunch, you’ll continue exploring different areas of the park, often spotting more animals coming to drink at the Tarangire River. The wildlife viewing is especially rich during the dry season when animals gather around the river. In the late afternoon, you begin your drive back, arriving at your lodge.
