4-Day Family Kruger and Blyde Canyon Tour

Arrival and Big 5 Private Reserve Game Drive

After being transferred from Johannesburg to the safari hub of Hoedspruit, the family will be met by Matumi Destinations and taken to their lodge for check-in.
Once unpacked and ready, a professional guide will collect the family in an Open Safari Vehicle for an afternoon game drive in a Big 5 Private Reserve. The guide and vehicle are exclusively for the family guests only. During the game drive, a sundowner stop will take place where the family can enjoy a refreshing drink and can stretch their legs. After enjoying the sunset, the game drive will continue a bit into the evening, ending with the family being taken back to their lodge where dinner will be ready. A relaxed evening can be spent at the lodge after dinner.

Kruger National Park Full-Day Safari

The family will be collected in the early morning at the lodge, in an Open Safari Vehicle, to explore the world famous Kruger National Park. The guide and vehicle are exclusively for the family only. Game viewing can be enjoyed from the comfort of the vehicle and with the knowledge of a professional guide. A coffee/tea stop will take place where the family can enjoy a packed breakfast and snacks at a designated picnic site within the Kruger National Park. During the game drive the family will also stop over at lunch time for something to eat at one of the main rest camps. The main rest camps of the Park offer a well stocked shop, takeaway restaurant, as well as a seated restaurant. As the guide and vehicle are only for the family, guests can choose the pace of the day which is unique for this activity. Guests can expect a full day in the Park and will return in the late afternoon to the lodge. Another wonderful dinner will be had at the lodge, later in the evening.

Blyde River Canyon and Moholoholo Willdlife Rehabilitation Centre

A relaxed start to the day with breakfast enjoyed at the lodge. The family will be collected by their professional guide in an air-conditioned vehicle for the first activity, a visit to Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. The family are taken on a tour by a Moholoholo guide to learn about the animals and how they help to conserve them. After spending the morning at the centre, guests will be taken to a nearby restaurant for lunch. After lunch the second activity for the day takes place at the Blyde River Canyon. A boat cruise inside the Canyon is an unbelievable experience with breathtaking scenery and the calm of the water. Guests can learn about the geology of the area and view the natural wildlife around the Canyon. In the late afternoon, once the boat cruise is completed, the family will be transferred back to the lodge. A bit of rest and relaxation at the lodge can be had after the day's activities. Dinner will be provided at the lodge in the evening.

Big 5 Private Reserve Game Drive and Departure

The family will be collected in the early morning for a game drive in a Big 5 Private Reserve. The drive takes place on an Open Safari Vehicle. After enjoying one final morning in the bush on a game drive and some tea/coffee, the family will be taken back to the lodge. Guests will be able to have breakfast and then prepare for their departure. Transfers to Johannesburg take place in the late morning and guests will be taken by the guide to the departure point for their transfer.
