Day 2

Explore Tarangire

After breakfast, your Lion King Safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation and you’ll set off on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, about two and a half hours away via smooth tarmac roads. Named after the lifeline Tarangire River, the park is a haven for wildlife during the dry season, drawing in large herds of elephants and a wide variety of other animals.

As you explore the park, keep an eye out for giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and with some luck, elusive predators like lions and leopards. Tarangire also boasts an impressive variety of bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. Scattered across the park are towering baobab trees, some estimated to be over a thousand years old, adding to the park’s unique character.
