Stop for a relaxed pit break at Trout Tree Restaurant in Nanyuki or a similar place (your guide will let you know), perfect for stretching your legs over a cup of fresh Kenyan coffee.
Arrive in Samburu in the afternoon and check into your lodge. Later, head out on your first game drive—golden light, red-dusted elephants, reticulated giraffes, and the elusive Grevy’s zebra welcome you into their world. As night falls, you might hear the Ewaso Nyiro River whispering outside your room—a lullaby from the wild.

Stop for a picnic lunch beneath an acacia tree before continuing your search. In the late afternoon, visit a Samburu cultural village, where colorful beadwork, proud traditions, and warm storytelling connect you to Kenya’s rich heritage. Tonight, sit under the stars and feel how vast and sacred this land truly is.

After breakfast, drive 3.5 hours south to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Break the trip with a stop at Nanyuki town’s Java House or a similar place (your guide will let you know) a clean, safe spot for coffee, snacks, and restrooms.
Arrive at Ol Pejeta just in time for lunch and check-in. Later, explore the sanctuary on an afternoon game drive—home to the Big 5, but most movingly, the last two northern white rhinos. You'll also visit the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, where you’ll witness their intelligence and stories of survival. The experience is powerful a reminder of what’s at stake and why wild spaces must endure.
