2-Day Amazing Akagera National Park Safari

Pick Up and Transfer to Akagera National Park with an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema

After your morning breakfast, you will be picked by an Otters African Safaris Guide and he or she will give you a short briefing on your safari, and then drive to the eastern part of Rwanda to Akagera National Park which is a 2 hours to 3 hours drive passing through Rwanda’s otherworldly landscapes and living styles. Arriving at the park, you will head to the park headquarters for registration and briefing, then proceed to your lodge for check-in and lunch.

In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Lake Ihema for the 2hrs boat cruise, where you \will get a chance to spot some crocodiles, hippos, and many bird species on the boat cruise. After the boat cruise you will return to the lodge for overnight stay and dinner.

Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kigali

After your early morning breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive in Akagera National Park. During the game drive you will have an opportunity to sight many animals such as Elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes, impalas, zebras, bush bucks, water bucks, lions, leopards. You will be able to see many bird species as Akagera National Park is home to over 500 bird species. After the game drive you will have lunch and relax a bit.

In the afternoon, you will transfer back to Kigali.
