We will pick you up from your designated departure hotel and bring you to our office for a short briefing before starting your scenic journey to the Masai Mara. The first stop will be at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the escarpments and a brief photo opportunity. We aim to arrive at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. However, in case of traffic or road incidents, lunch may be taken en route in Narok town. Upon arrival at the lodge, you’ll check in, unwind in your room, and later enjoy dinner. Masai Mara Sopa Lodge is located within the greater Masai Mara ecosystem, and its position relative to the National Reserve may vary slightly depending on the route your guide uses. In the evening, you may be treated to Maasai cultural dances or a bonfire, subject to availability. You can enjoy a refreshing dip in the heated pool surrounded by nature. The lodge is ideal for honeymooners, families with kids, and solo travelers seeking a peaceful stay.

You’ll begin your day with an early pre-breakfast game drive at 6:30 AM in the swampy plains of Amboseli National Park. This is the perfect time to witness wildlife at its most active, with sightings of hippos wallowing in the wetlands, large elephants with their calves trudging through the mud, and a variety of herbivores grazing in the morning calm. After your drive, return to the lodge for a full breakfast before checking out. You’ll then head to the Namanga border, where our Tanzanian team will be waiting for you with a private saloon car which will transfer you to Arusha. Upon crossing into Tanzania, you’ll be transferred to Charity hotel or River house lodge hotel where you’ll enjoy a nicely made bed & breakfast and later that evening we will send over our Tanzania team to brief you.

You’ll begin your day with an early breakfast at the camp, collect your packed picnic lunch, and set out for a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park. The day is dedicated to tracking the Great Wildebeest Migration(July to September) and searching for the iconic Big Five (throughout the year): lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino. One of the highlights of the day is a game drive to the crocodile-infested Grumeti River, where you may witness dramatic river crossings and spot large crocodiles and hippos lounging in the water. After enjoying your picnic lunch at a scenic picnic site, you’ll continue exploring the vast plains until around 5:00 PM. You’ll then head back to lodge with a game drive en route, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

The park offers one of the richest wildlife habitats in the world, and today you’ll be tracking herds of wildebeest, zebras, and giraffes, as well as predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and wild dogs. With a bit of luck, you may also spot elusive species such as the black rhino, lesser kudu, or black-backed jackals. The Serengeti is also home to a wide variety of antelopes including impalas, Grant’s gazelles, bushbuck, and kongonis. You’ll descend into the crater floor for an unforgettable 5-6-hour game drive in search of a wide array of wildlife, including common lions, African elephants, the rare black rhino, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, blue wildebeests, Grant’s zebras, African buffaloes, and hippos—many of which can often be seen near the crater rim or at the central water points.
