Arrival in Naivasha

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you'll be met by your private driver-guide and transferred to Naivasha. After check-in at your lodge or hotel, you’ll meet your guide for a safari briefing focused on optimizing your photography sessions. If time allows, enjoy a short optional visit to Lake Naivasha, Crescent Island, or a guided nature photography walk along the lake shores.

Naivasha to Amboseli

After an early breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park, arriving around midday. After lunch and some rest, you’ll head out for an afternoon game drive. This park is a favorite for photographers thanks to its massive herds of elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). Sunset light here is often magical — perfect for those iconic silhouette shots.

Full Day in Amboseli

After a hearty breakfast off before sunrise for a morning game drive — the best time to capture dramatic light, wildlife movement, and (hopefully) Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak before clouds roll in. After breakfast, return for rest or editing time. Head out again in the late afternoon for golden hour photography, focusing on elephants, flamingos (in season), and Amboseli’s unique dust-filled atmosphere.

Amboseli to Maasai Mara

After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi, and stop over for a quick lunch and thereafter, proceed on a drive to the world renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival and transferred to your lodge for check in. If your arrival time-permits, enjoy a short afternoon game drive for your first taste of Mara’s rich wildlife and dramatic landscapes.

Another Day in the Wild

Another sunrise-to-sunset day crafted around your photographic goals. You might focus on a specific species, return to a kill site, or explore riverbanks for hippos and crocodiles. Your guide will work closely with you to position the vehicle for the best angles and light. Optional walking safaris or cultural photography at a Maasai village can also be arranged.

Morning game drive and drive back to Nairobi

Enjoy a final early morning drive for last captures of the sunrise and any missed shots. After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to a hotel or directly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight. A day room can be arranged depending on your schedule.
