Transfer to volcanoes National Park

You will check out of the hotel early morning after breakfast with the help of your guide and transferred to Volcanoes National Park. Volcanoes National Park is a world-renowned conservation area located in northwestern Rwanda, bordering Uganda’s Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Virunga National Park. It is one of the few places on earth where you can see the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Upon arrival, you will check into your Lodge, freshen up and relax.

Gorilla Trekking Experience

After early morning breakfast, you will have gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park which is one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences in the world. This guided jungle hike brings you face-to-face with the rare and endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat—thick bamboo and montane forests on the slopes of the Virunga Volcanoes. You will transfer to park headquarters for briefing (7:00 am) begin gorilla trekking with ranger guides and this takes 1–6 hours depending on location of gorilla family and you spend 1 hour with the gorillas. After the trekking you will return to the lodge for lunch and relax.

Golden Monkey Tracking& Departure

Early morning, you will head out for Golden Monkey Tracking experience which starts at 7:00 am and lasts about 2–3 hours. These colorful, energetic primates live in large groups in the park’s bamboo forests. The trek starts with a morning briefing at the Kinigi Visitor Center and typically lasts 2–3 hours, with 1 hour spent observing the monkeys. It is less strenuous than gorilla trekking. Golden monkey trekking is a fun and rewarding experience. After the trekking, you will head back to the lodge, have breakfast and later checkout since you will embark on a journey to Kigali and that marks the end of your trip with us.
