Serenegti via ngorongoro

Begin your day with a breathtaking sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, when the plains are alive with movement and the predators are most active. This is the best time to witness lions returning from a hunt or cheetahs scanning the horizon for prey. After a hearty bush breakfast or brunch at camp, enjoy a final drive through the Serengeti as you make your way southeast toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

En route, you may spot elephants, giraffes, or herds of wildebeest crossing your path. As you leave the endless plains behind, the landscape begins to shift — giving way to the lush, rolling highlands surrounding the crater rim. Arrive by late afternoon and settle in at Simba Campsite, perched high above the crater with sweeping views of the conservation area. Enjoy dinner under the stars and prepare for the next day’s descent into the crater.

Enjoy a half-day game drive across the crater floor, taking in the stunning scenery and tracking the Big Five against a backdrop of acacia forests, open grasslands, and a shimmering soda lake.
