Day 2

Antananarivo - Andasibe

After breakfast, head east to Andasibe through the typical landscape and eastern rainforest. On the way, stop at the Peyreiras reptile farm to observe different endemic species of chameleons, lizards, geckos, frogs. Arrived in Andasibe around noon. In the afternoon, visit the Analamazaotra reserve to spot the largest lemurs of Madagascar Indri Indri, which is the largest living lemur. Night walk to spot nocturnal species such as mouse lemurs, chameleons, frogs.

Day 3

Drive back from Andasibe to Antananarivo

Drive back from Andasibe to Antananarivo

Breakfast at the hotel, then morning walk in the primary forest. Other species of lemurs can be seen during the walk, including the gray bamboo lemur, the common brown lemur as well as various endemic bird species. Return for lunch and departure to the hotel after the visit. In the afternoon, return to Antananarivo.

Day 4

Antananarivo - Antsirabe - Ranomafana national park

Departure in the morning then drive to Ranomafana through mountains, hills and rice fields. Along the way, you will see many funeral graves, some simple; others explain what plays an important role in the local population and their fascination with the afterlife. Arrival in Antsirabe after a 3 hour drive: the thermal station, "the city of water" as it is called, has become a very important economic town, renowned for its fresh products and mineral water, commonly called "Visy Gasy ". the city is well known both for the many “pousse-pousse” and for the precious and semi-precious stones Continuation to Ranomafana, known as "hot water", arrival at the end of the afternoon, installation at the hotel before a night walk.

Day 5

In morning drive to Ranomafana national park parking to meet your local guide. Walk towards the rainforest. Ranomafana protected mountain rainforest covers an area of 41,600ha at altitudes between 600m and 1,400m. The area is dominated by the Namorona River which, fed by many streams, plunges from the eastern escarpment close to the park entrance. The steep slopes are covered with a mixture of primary and secondary forest, much of the secondary growth is dominated by dense stands of introduced Chinese guava (Psidium cattleyanum) and clumps of giant bamboo. You might be spotting some species of lemurs (golden bamboo lemur, greater bamboo lemur, Milne-Edwards sifaka, red-bellied, birds (brown mesite, Pollen`s vanga, blue vanga, velvet asity, grey-crowned greenbul, reptiles (Parsons chameleon, Peacock day gecko. After 4 hours of visit, you take the RN7 road to the south to reach Ambalavao where you will meet the Anja reserve. Fianarantsoa is one of the six major cities of Madagascar.

Day 6

Ambalavao - Ihosy - Ranohira

Leave in the morning towards the vast grassy plains of IHorombe and direction Ranohira after visiting the artisanal papermaking factory and the Anja reserves the house of the ring-tailed lemur. The scenery begins to change as you cross the “Southern Gate” mountain and enter the attractive countryside of the Betsileo people where granite outcrops dominate the horizon. Here, the architecture of the village is also starting to change, from the one-story 'African-style' house to two-story buildings in the central highlands where people are more like those in Southeast Asia. Is that they are not Africa.

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to the village of Ranohira to choose your local guide. A day dedicated to trekking and discovering the park, made up of a ruin-shaped massif dating from the Jurassic, discovery of the most beautiful landscape in Madagascar. You will visit the other side: the natural pool, where you can swim, etc. You might spot bird species like the Madagascar hoopoe, the common Newtonia and with luck the juvenile short-eared owl, the long-tailed ground-roller and reptiles and frogs (Ustalet's chameleon, jewel chameleon, tailed iguanid thorny, “endemic” mantilla expectata, Painted burrowing frog Possibility of enjoying the spectacular sunset at the natural rocky window of Isalo if the time permits.

Breakfast at the hotel. Road to Tulear through different villages of sapphire miners and the southern savannah. Stop along the way to visit Zombitse National Park. You will be able to see baobabs, well painted tombs as well as typical villages of the southern tribes. Arrival in Toliara, installation at your hotel.
