Fly to Bahir Dar, a vibrant city on Lake Tana’s southern shores. After a warm welcome, enjoy a boat cruise on Ethiopia’s largest lake, source of the Blue Nile. See where the Nile flows without mixing with the lake. Visit Debre Mariam, Ura Kidane Mihret, Entos Eyesus, and Azwa Mariam monasteries, famed for 14th-century murals, ancient books, and relics. Spot birds, plants, and even hippos before returning to town.

Afternoon: Lunch and Blue Nile Falls Adventure
