This “river of warthogs” is the park’s main water source during the dry season, attracting a remarkable variety of wildlife. The scenery here is beautifully diverse, from towering elephant grass and sprawling acacia woodlands to lush groundwater forests. Tarangire is especially famous for its large elephant herds, often seen gathering along the riverbanks. You may also encounter giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and an array of predators such as lions and leopards. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted—Tarangire boasts more breeding bird species than anywhere else on Earth.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we will depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a pristine haven renowned for its incredible birdlife and famous tree-climbing lions. The park is framed by the dramatic cliffs of the Great Rift Valley to the west, while to the east lies the shimmering, shallow alkaline waters of Lake Manyara. The lake expands and recedes with the seasons, drawing thousands of flamingos during the rains—a breathtaking spectacle. The park’s name originates from the Maasai word emanyara, a plant traditionally used to build protective enclosures around family homesteads (bomas).

Lake Manyara’s landscapes are strikingly diverse, ranging from open savannah to lush evergreen forests. As we explore, you may encounter giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and—if luck is on our side—lions resting gracefully among the branches.

Ngorongoro Crater To Serengeti National Park

Ngorongoro Crater To Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we set out for the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater—often described as Africa’s “Garden of Eden.” As you approach the rim, breathtaking panoramic views reveal what feels like a lost world. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, offering an excellent chance to spot the endangered black rhino as well as large prides of lions.

Formed two to three million years ago when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed in on itself, the crater is both a geological wonder and a wildlife paradise. The thrilling descent to the crater floor takes you into a realm teeming with life: wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, buffalo, and over 500 species of birds. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive rhino grazing in the open plains.

Central Serengeti National Park

Central Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we venture deeper into the heart of Serengeti National Park in search of its legendary big cats and the incredible diversity of wildlife that calls this vast wilderness home. Known worldwide as one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries, the Serengeti is celebrated for its sweeping landscapes, rich biodiversity, and unmatched natural beauty.

The park’s fame is forever tied to the Great Wildebeest Migration—one of nature’s most awe-inspiring spectacles. Each year, over a million wildebeests and around 200,000 zebras embark on their timeless journey, moving south from the northern hills to the southern plains with the short rains in October and November, then flowing west and north after the long rains in April, May, and June. Their instinct to move is so powerful that neither drought, predators, nor crocodile-filled rivers can halt their progress.

Main Destination:
Central Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)
High Season July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)
