Pick up from Kigali to Bwindi after a brief city tour

The professional driver tour guide from Kimed Ecotours will pick you up from either the airport or the hotel and make a city tour preferably the Kigali genocide Memorial or the local market and on the same day you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the over night stay as you await for the Mountain Gorilla Experience the following day.

Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Begin your day with an unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking experience in the breathtaking forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early morning briefing by park rangers, venture into the jungle in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from a few hours to most of the day, depending on the gorillas' location, but every moment is rewarded when you come face-to-face with these gentle giants in their natural habitat. You will spend one magical hour observing their behavior, taking photographs, and enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before transferring to the scenic Lake Bunyonyi, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa." Surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with numerous islands, the lake offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Arrive in the evening, check in to your lodge, and unwind while enjoying the beautiful sunset over the tranquil waters.

Morning canoe cruise and Transfer back to Kigali to end the tour

After breakfast, you will embark on a boat cruise on on Lake Bunyonyi. You'll visit some of the 29 islands that mare found on the lake; some having tragic history while others have wildlife on them. After that, you'll embark on a journey back to Kigali as the end of the trip.
