4‑Day Uganda‑Rwanda Cross‑Border Adventure with an Outstanding Local Driver
We had an amazing 4‑day short cross‑border trip from Entebbe Airport (Uganda) all the way to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda.
Day 1 started with a fascinating shoebill trekking. It was such a rare and special experience to spot this unique bird in its natural habitat.
On Day 2, we travelled long‑distance to Volcanoes National Park for our gorilla tracking. The drive was lengthy, but our driver handled it perfectly.
Day 3 was the highlight: gorilla trekking. The hike was physically challenging and tiring, yet incredibly rewarding and unforgettable. We stayed overnight in northern Rwanda after the trek.
On Day 4, we did golden monkey tracking. These little primates are absolutely adorable, and it was a joy to watch them in the wild. Afterwards, we drove all the way to Kigali.
I cannot speak highly enough of our driver. He was extremely reliable and punctual throughout the whole journey. He knew this cross‑border route inside out, a true local expert with intimate knowledge of the area. His deep familiarity with the region kept our trip running smoothly. He was also very friendly and approachable. Long‑distance driving was completely stable and safe, which gave us total peace of mind on those long road stretches.
Overall, this whole cross‑border itinerary delivered a fantastic experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a compact Uganda‑Rwanda adventure!

We came across this travel agency randomly through a social media post when researching trips to Uganda. The post highly recommended them, so we decided to reach out, and we’re very glad we did!
From the very beginning, they were super responsive, patient, and helpful in answering all of our questions. We quickly felt confident booking our entire trip with them. When we later encountered flight issues due to the war, they were extremely flexible and supportive, adapting our itinerary smoothly and efficiently. They were also transparent about everything and consistently focused on delivering the best possible experience for us.
We spent five unforgettable days in Uganda, tracking gorillas, searching for shoebill storks, and going on safari. Everything was super well organized. Our tour guide was highly professional and knowledgeable, with deep insights into wildlife, birds, history, biology, ecosystems, and geography, etc., and we learned so much throughout the trip.
The accommodations arranged for us were all very good, with one standout stay in Mburo National Park. There, we experienced wildlife right at our doorstep: Hippos near the hotel at night, baboons passing through the yard in the morning, and egrets flying over the lake at sunrise. It was truly magical.
In short, I highly recommend this travel agency to anyone looking to explore Uganda and enjoy a seamless, memorable, and enriching travel experience.

This safari experience was absolutely incredible and beyond all my expectations—it was truly outstanding from start to finish!
My driver Medard delivered phenomenal service the entire time. He drove incredibly safely, smoothly and steadily at all times, and always put my safety as his absolute top priority. Every decision he made was for the wellbeing and security of my trip, making me feel calm, protected and comfortable throughout the whole adventure.
Thanks to his amazing professional experience and sharp eye for wildlife, I got to witness so many stunning wild animals in their natural habitat. I was so lucky to see gorillas, bush babies and plenty of other beautiful exotic creatures up close.
This is hands down the best safari experience I have ever had. Everything was perfect, well arranged and absolutely magical. I highly recommend Mudards and this wonderful safari tour to every traveler!
