Nyerere National Park (Arrival and Game Drive)

Your flight will depart from Julius Nyerere International Airport for the 85-minute air transfer to Nyerere National Park, where your guide will meet you for a briefing and breakfast, followed by a day of exploring Nyerere National Park, the largest national park in Tanzania, an impressive wilderness that provides a genuine safari experience. Encompassing more than 30,000 square kilometers, Nyerere harbors diverse wildlife, including substantial populations of elephants, lions, leopards, wild dogs, and hippos, thus rendering it an ideal location for both nature enthusiasts and photographers.

You'll take a midday break for lunch before resuming your activities. The park's pristine environment facilitates close encounters with wildlife. The conclusion of your day tour involves a beautiful scene, where your guide will bring you to the airstrip for your 45-minute flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you'll be met by your guide and taken to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an exhilarating safari adventure in Nyerere National Park, in the evening you can enjoy authentic Swahili cuisine at Forodhani Gardens, where the lively night market offers freshly seafoods and other local delicacies along the Indian Ocean.
In the same evening, before dinner or after dinner, you will have time to explore the charming streets of Stone Town, browse local boutiques, and shop for souvenirs such as handmade crafts.

On day 3, you will embark on a guided tour through historic Stone Town, a World Heritage Site, savoring a seafood lunch. Wander its winding alleyways and immerse yourself in the island’s rich culture and history. Highlights include visiting the old slave market, the House of Wonders, and the bustling forodhani market. There will be time to explore coffee shops and sample Zanzibari spices.

In the evening, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight.
