Day 1

After your early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by an Otter African Safaris guide and start your journey to Kibale National Park in Kabarole district through the tea plantations and rolling hills to reach Fort Portal town. While in Fort Portal you will have lunch before proceeding to Kibale National Park. After checking into the lodge, you will embark on a guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetlands and you will have a chance to spot different bird species as it's home to over 130 bird species. After the swamp walk, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2
Chimpanzee Trekking and an Afternoon Community visit
Chimpanzee Trekking and an Afternoon Community visit
You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then report at the park headquarters at Kanyanchu at 7;30am for briefing by the guides about the dos and don'ts while with the chimpanzees. You will then embark on a trek for the search for the chimpanzees and once you have spotted a group, you will spend one hour with them observing their different behaviors and you will also spot other primates in the forest. After the chimpanzee trekking experience you will be awarded a chimpanzee trekking certificate and after you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will embark on a community tour around Kibale National Park where you will visit various places like Rest in Bananas where you will see how they makes different juices from bananas, you will also visit a traditional healer, a coffee tour around the community among others. After the community visit, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with an Afternoon visit to the Batwa Community

After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge in Kibale National Park and you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for Gorilla Trekking. You will have lunch on the way as you proceed t Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive at the lodge in the afternoon where you will check in. You will then embark on a Batwa community experience where you will visit the Batwa people and learn how their different ways of living such as how they used to make fire, how they hunted for their food among others. After this experience you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then report at the park headquarters at 7:30am for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. Gorilla tracking exercise is physically demanding but an exciting activity! You may need to hire a porter to assist you during tracking and these are readily available at the park headquarters. Time allowed to spend with gorillas is 1 hour when you have found them and this is enough to ask all the questions about their behavior. Return to the lodge after tracking and freshen up. In the afternoon, you will relax at the lodge. Dinner and Overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5
Transfer to Entebbe or Entebbe International Airport
Transfer to Entebbe or Entebbe International Airport
After your morning breakfast you will exit the lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and set off to Entebbe or Entebbe International Park. Along the way you will have a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for memorable photos and the famous water experiment that shows that earth is separated into the Northern and Southern Hemisphere and you will have a chance to enjoy both the hemispheres. You will have an en-route lunch and you will continue your journey to Entebbe or Entebbe International Airport. Don't forget o buy a souvenir as remembrance for the unforgettable Primates safari you have had in Uganda.
