1-Day Visiting Lake Manyara

Start your day early, departing from Arusha around 5:30 AM (or 7:00 AM from Karatu) for a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Arrive by 8:00 AM, check in, and begin your morning game drive through the lush forests and along the lake shore, spotting elephants, hippos, flamingos, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Around 11:30 AM, visit the Maji Moto hot springs at the southern end of the park before stopping for a picnic lunch at a designated site around 12:30 PM. After lunch, enjoy optional activities such as a treetop walkway or more wildlife viewing. Begin your return journey around 3:30 PM, arriving back in Arusha by 6:00 PM (or Karatu by 4:00 PM), completing a full day of adventure and wildlife immersion.
