1-Day Visiting Lake Manyara

Start your day early, departing from Arusha at 5:30 AM or from Karatu at 7:00 AM for a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park. For guests staying at hotels near town, pick-up will be directly from your hotel, while those staying farther from town will meet at the Clocktower stop in either Arusha or Karatu. Arrive at the park by 8:00 AM, check in, and begin your morning game drive through the lush forests and along the lake shore, where you may spot elephants, hippos, flamingos, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Around 11:30 AM, visit the Maji Moto hot springs at the southern end of the park before stopping for a picnic lunch at a designated site around 12:30 PM. After lunch, enjoy optional activities such as a treetop walkway or continue with more wildlife viewing. Begin your return journey around 3:30 PM, arriving back in Arusha by 6:00 PM or in Karatu by 4:00 PM, completing a full day of adventure and wildlife immersion.
