Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi National Park

Your guide will pick you up to start your journey to southwestern Uganda with a scenic ride from Kigali Airport or your hotel in Rwanda in a 4X4 Landcruiser. Cross the border at Cyanika or Katuna and travel through the terraced hills and misty valleys of southwestern Uganda. Arrive at the Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and check in at Four Gorillas Safari Lodge, a peaceful eco-retreat nestled on the edge of the jungle. Enjoy warm hospitality, stunning forest views, and a locally inspired dinner as the canopy darkens. Spend the night in comfort, perfectly set for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Transfer back to Kigali-Rwanda

Begin your day with breakfast at your lodge, then make your way to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters in the Rushaga sector for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. After being assigned a gorilla family, you’ll set off on your trek at 8:30 am with your guide. The trek can last between 1 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location in the forest. Once you find them, you’ll have one hour to observe and photograph these magnificent animals, so feel free to ask questions. Afterward, your driver-guide will either take you to Kigali Airport for your flight or drop you off at your hotel in Kigali.
