Your day begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, heading southwest through scenic Maasai plains to Tarangire National Park—about a 2-hour drive. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive in this remarkable park, famous for its vast elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and seasonal swamps that draw in abundant wildlife. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and over 500 bird species. The Tarangire River, a year-round water source, becomes a wildlife magnet, especially during the dry season. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the designated sites overlooking the river or escarpment. In the afternoon, continue exploring different habitats within the park, from open savannahs to dense acacia woodlands. As the sun begins to dip, you’ll exit the park and drive to your nearby lodge or camp for dinner and overnight, soaking in the quiet beauty of the African bush.

Day 2

This region, known as Seronera, is rich in wildlife year-round due to the Seronera River, attracting a variety of animals including elephants, hippos, giraffes, and large herds of herbivores. After a bush breakfast or return to camp for brunch, continue exploring the endless plains, rocky kopjes, and acacia-dotted landscapes. In the afternoon, watch as animals gather at waterholes and predators lounge in the shade. The day ends with a golden sunset over the savannah before heading back to your lodge or tented camp for a relaxing evening under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Start your day early with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to an incredible concentration of wildlife. As you drive across the crater floor, spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo—along with zebras, hippos, flamingos, and hyenas in this unique ecosystem. Enjoy a picnic breakfast or lunch near the hippo pool, surrounded by stunning views of the crater walls. After an unforgettable morning of game viewing, ascend the crater and begin your drive back to Arusha through the scenic highlands and Maasai villages. Arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your safari with lasting memories of Tanzania’s natural wonders and wildlife.
