Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart from Nairobi and head for the Masai Mara, enjoying the scenic view of the Great Rift Valley escarpments. The first stopover will be at a viewpoint to appreciate the Great Rift Valley. The second stopover will be in Narok for a hot lunch before continuing to the camp/park. The journey offers changing landscapes from Nairobi all the way to the Mara. After checking in and refreshing, you will go on a game drive to spot some wildlife, then have dinner and settle into your accommodations at a fully furnished camp with hot showers and buffet self-serve meals. Meals will be served according to your preferences.

Have breakfast and set off for a full day game drive to enjoy the Mara’s residents and its beautiful savannah grassland landscape on rolling hills. It is best known for the Great Migration, which is seasonal between the months of July, August, and September. If lucky enough you will see all the “Big 5,” but you’ll surely glimpse at least one or two. Lunch will be a picnic and dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Have breakfast and proceed to a Maasai village in the Mara to get a glimpse of their culture. Later you’ll leave for Nakuru with lunch in Mai Mahiu along the way. Enjoy the beautiful sight of Mount Longonot and a distant view of Lake Naivasha during your drive. You may choose an optional boat ride on Lake Naivasha before continuing to Nakruru. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

The experience is even better with the view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the largest snow-capped mountain in Africa. Have a picnic lunch. An optional visit to a local village is available at an extra cost.
