Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins after a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. The drive to Tarangire National Park is scenic, passing through Maasai land and cultivated farms. Tarangire is instantly recognizable by its landscape dominated by ancient baobab trees and twisted acacias. It is famous for having some of the largest elephant herds in Tanzania—often groups of 50 or more. The Tarangire River is the lifeblood of the park during the dry season, attracting massive concentrations of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, and giraffe. This park is also a birdwatcher's paradise with over 550 species.
Overnight: Special Campsite inside Tarangire. This is a public campsite with basic facilities, including shared bathroom blocks with toilets and cold-water showers. Your crew will pitch your tent and prepare a hearty dinner. It's a simple, authentic start to your safari, under the vast African sky.

Tarangire to Lake Ndutu to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, you'll journey onwards, driving up into the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You'll likely stop at a viewpoint to get your first breathtaking glimpse of the Ngorongoro Crater—a teaser for your final day. The terrain then unfolds into the vast, golden plains of the Serengeti ecosystem. Your destination is the Lake Ndutu area, a critical part of the Serengeti's seasonal cycle. If you are traveling between December and April, you are in for a spectacle: the Great Wildebeest Migration calving season. The plains are teeming with thousands of wildebeest and zebra, and consequently, predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are abundant and highly active.
After the game drive around Ndutu, Start your-drive journey northwards into the Serengeti National Park for Overnight at special campsite. You'll enter through the official Naabi Hill Gate, where you can complete formalities, and climb the rock kopje for a spectacular view over the seemingly endless plains.

Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservations Area
Enjoy one last morning game drive in the Central Serengeti. This is your opportunity to search for anything you haven't yet seen, particularly the elusive leopard often found draped over a tree branch on the kopjes. After the game drive, you'll begin your journey southeast, exiting the Serengeti and re-entering the NCA. The drive is scenic, and game viewing continues along the way. You will ascend the crater rim road, arriving at the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater in the late afternoon. The temperature drops noticeably, and the misty views are dramatic and beautiful.
Overnight: Simba "A" Special Campsite. This public campsite is perched right on the crater rim, offering arguably the best location of any campsite. The facilities are basic (shared bathrooms, cold water), but the experience of camping on the edge of this natural wonder is unforgettable. Remember to layer up as the high-altitude nights can be quite cold.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
The final day is dedicated to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. You'll make an early descent down the steep crater wall into this 600-meter-deep natural zoo. The crater floor is a self-contained ecosystem hosting over 25,000 large animals. It is one of the best places on Earth to see the endangered black rhinoceros. You are also virtually guaranteed sightings of lions, hyenas, elephants, buffalo, Thomson's gazelles, and large herds of zebra and wildebeest. Flamingos often color the soda lake.
