Today's city tour will begin with a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum, the beautiful farmhouse where the famous author of "Out of Africa" lived. You will explore the house and grounds, gaining insight into her life and the colonial era. Next, you'll visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a world-renowned sanctuary that rescues and rehabilitates orphaned elephants. You will have a truly heartwarming experience watching the baby elephants being fed and playing in the mud. After a delicious lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden, the tour continues to the Giraffe Centre, a refuge for the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. Here, you can get up close and personal with these gentle giants and even hand-feed them. Finally, you will visit the Kazuri Beads Factory, a self-help project that provides employment for disadvantaged Kenyan women through the creation of brightly colored, handmade ceramic jewelry. You will have the opportunity to see the artisans at work before returning to the hotel.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, you will embark on a scenic road journey to Samburu National Reserve, a drive that takes approximately five hours. You will witness the changing landscapes of central Kenya as you head north. Upon arrival, you'll enjoy a short game drive on your way to the lodge, followed by lunch and an afternoon game drive. This unique reserve is known for its "Samburu Special Five," a collection of species not found in other parts of Kenya's south. Keep your eyes peeled for the Grévy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and the long-necked gerenuk. Your second full day in Samburu National Reserve begins with an early morning game drive, the perfect time to spot predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs in the cool dawn light. You'll return to camp for breakfast, with the rest of your morning at leisure to relax.

In the afternoon, you'll embark on another game drive to further explore the reserve's unique attractions and search for the endemic Samburu Special Five (Gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, Beisa Oryx, Somali Ostrich, and Reticulated Giraffe). The day is designed to balance exciting game drives with peaceful relaxation in the heart of the reserve.

After a final breakfast at Samburu Intrepids Camp, you will check out and begin your journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The scenic drive offers a beautiful transition from the arid landscapes of Samburu to the lush foothills of Mount Kenya. You'll arrive at Maisha Sweetwaters Camp in time for lunch, where you can settle in and relax after your journey. In the afternoon, you will head out for a thrilling game drive within Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This conservancy is renowned for its conservation programs, particularly for rhinos and chimpanzees. It is home to the largest black rhino sanctuary in East and Central Africa and the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya. You'll have an excellent chance of spotting the Big Five, as well as a diverse range of other wildlife. After the game drive, you will return to the camp for dinner and a peaceful night at leisure.

After breakfast at Maisha Sweetwaters Camp, you will check out and enjoy a final morning game drive within Ol Pejeta Conservancy, offering one last chance to spot wildlife and soak in the beauty of the reserve. Following the game drive, you will proceed to Mount Kenya, arriving at the iconic Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club just in time for lunch.

After lunch, you’ll have the unique opportunity to visit the on-site animal orphanage.
