Day 1
Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park
Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park
Depart Nairobi early in the morning (around 6.45 am) and head to Tsavo East National Park.
The joint mass of Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks forms one of the largest National parks in the world and covers a massive 4% of Kenya’s total land area. Tsavo East is guarded by the limitless lava reaches of Yatta Plateau and is patrolled by some of the largest elephant herds.
Tsavo East is Kenya's oldest and largest park. You'll arrive at the lodge in good time for an early lunch after an introductory game drive in this park.
You'll proceed on a late afternoon game drive (4.30 pm), when wildlife is more active, and the weather is cooler. Be on the lookout for elephants, lions, leopard, buffalo, kudu, zebra and hartebeest.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Aruba Lodge or one of similar standards.

Day 2
Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park
Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, you'll leave for Tsavo West National Park. You'll have lunch at Kilaguni Serena Lodge.
The highlight of the park is the Mzima Springs. The crystal-clear water of this chain of lakes is filtered through the volcanic rocks of the Chyulu Hills just to the north. Shaded by majestic fig and acacia trees, the lakes swarm with fish, large crocodiles, and some big pods of hippos.
The experience of being on safari in Tsavo West is very different from a safari in Tsavo East or a Masai Mara safari, where you often have views across the wide-open country. Tsavo West safaris are more about unexpected sights as you turn a bend on a wooded track.
The birdlife in the park is outstanding. If you’re on a birdwatching safari, you’ll be blown away by the number of bird sightings. The white-headed buffalo weaver is a particularly noticeable species, with its prominent bright red rump, and there are at least eight recorded hornbill species here.
Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 3
Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park
Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park
Rise early and watch the light breaking upon the park. Wild animals are active early in the morning, and you'll have a chance to spot quite a number as they appear on the savannah.
Next activity: breakfast! And then another morning game drive through the park as we head out to Amboseli National Park. One of the advantages of visiting Amboseli is that the terrain is open with thin foliage. This makes game spotting easier. Look out for lions, leopards, and the park’s almost ever-present great parade of elephants. Seeing the magnificent elephants patrolling in line with a backdrop of Kilimanjaro is a special treat of this park.
Hot Lunch will be served at your accommodation, and perhaps some relaxing time. The afternoon is yours to pace as you wish.
The waters from melted snow drain down the mountain under lava flows and surface in Amboseli, creating a green belt of swampland amidst dusty plains. Here, hippo, elephant, and birdlife can be seen against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro.

The park has more than 25 eastern black rhinoceros, one of the largest concentrations in the country. There are also a number of Rothschild's giraffes, relocated for safety from western Kenya from 1977. Waterbucks are very common and both Kenyan subspecies are found here. Among the predators are lions, cheetahs, and leopards, the latter being seen much more frequently in recent times.
The rest of the evening shall be spent at the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 6
Masai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara National Reserve
This day is fully set aside for game viewing in Kenya's finest game reserve, the Masai Mara National Reserve.
Quite a number of game come near to you, and you only have the option of counting the blessings that nature bestows upon you as you view animals in their natural habitat.
Wherever you go in the vast Mara, you will see a sufficient number of wildlife such as Masai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests and wildebeests. Elephants, buffalos, zebras, and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but reasonably common.
The ultimate action here is without a doubt the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration, in July and August when millions of these grazers move north from the Serengeti.
