By late afternoon, we reach Simba Camp, set on a grassy knoll with wide views of the Kenyan plains.

Day 2

By dawn, we reach Gilman’s Point (5,685m), perched on the crater rim. From here, a final push takes you to Uhuru Peak, the Roof of Africa. The glaciers glisten in the morning light, and the world spreads endlessly below.
