3-Day Chobe Camping from Victoria Falls

Boat cruise and game drive in chobe national park

At 7:30 AM, guests are picked up from their hotels or lodges in Victoria Falls and transferred to Kasane, Botswana, where they are assisted through border immigration formalities.

By 9:30 AM, guests board a riverboat for a 3-hour cruise along the Chobe River—one of the highlights of the trip. This scenic cruise offers incredible close-up encounters with hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and Cape buffalo, along with an abundance of birdlife.

The cruise concludes at around 12:30 PM then lunch There is also a brief opportunity for last-minute shopping in Kasane before heading into the park.
In the afternoon, guests embark on a game drive through Chobe National Park. This is often the best time to view large herbivores, such as elephants, giraffes, and antelopes, as they gather near the river to drink. The open safari vehicle offers panoramic views and excellent wildlife spotting as the day cools down.

Camping inside Chobe National Park

Today you will rise at the crack of dawn (05:30hrs) to have tea or coffee and a light breakfast, before boarding the land cruise for your early morning game drive before the sun rises. The cooler morning temperatures mean that the game in the reserve is often more active, and the softer light makes for great images.
1100hrs you will come back to the camp to have a tasty brunch meal and relax in the camp,
After at least one more sumptuous meal, you’ll head out on your afternoon game drive, which will continue until park closure, then your day will invariably end with a good dinner and some reminiscing about the day’s sightings around a warm campfire.

Departure

Today will be another early start. You’ll eat breakfast and make your way back to Kasane where you will then be transferred to the specifics of your departure point to fly home or continue on your travels elsewhere.
