Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

Early morning pickup from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and drive to Mikumi National Park (approx. 5–6 hours). Arrive in time for lunch, then enjoy your first afternoon game drive. The park is home to elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and large herds of buffalo. Dinner and overnight at Mikumi.

Mikumi- Udzungwa - Mikumi

After breakfast, depart for Udzungwa Mountains National Park, known as the “African Galápagos” for its rich biodiversity. Hike through lush rainforest trails to the stunning Sanje Waterfalls, where you can enjoy breathtaking views and a refreshing swim. Spot unique primates like the Udzungwa red colobus monkey. Later, drive back to Mikumi for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Nyerere National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuaries. Arrive in time for a late afternoon boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp inside or near the park.
