Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, heading to south through Maasai villages and vast open plains towards Tarangire National Park. The journey takes you into a landscape dotted with giant baobab trees and endless savannahs. As soon as you enter the park, game viewing begins in earnest. Tarangire is known for its enormous elephant herds, which often gather around the Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline. You may also spot prides of lions resting under the shade, giraffes feeding on acacia trees, and countless bird species that make this park a paradise for bird lovers. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive, when animals are most active as they gather near the river. By evening, you will retire to your campsite near the park, ready for the next day’s adventure.

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the vastness of Serengeti. An early morning start allows you to witness the drama of predators on the hunt, with lions often stalking their prey and leopards descending from their acacia perches. The central Serengeti, known as the Seronera Valley, is famed for its abundance of big cats, and you’ll also encounter elephants, giraffes, and countless antelope species. The day includes a picnic lunch under the shade of an acacia tree, followed by more wildlife exploration. Hippos wallow in pools while crocodiles guard the rivers, and thousands of wildebeest and zebras graze across the horizon. As the sun sets, painting the skies in orange and gold, you return to Nyani Campsite for another night under the Serengeti sky.

A truly special day begins with an early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The crater floor, with its lush grasslands and seasonal lakes, is home to one of the densest populations of wildlife anywhere in Africa. Here, you have a chance to see the elusive black rhino, along with elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and an astonishing variety of birds, including flamingos at Lake Magadi. A picnic lunch is enjoyed beside a hippo pool before continuing your exploration of this natural sanctuary. In the late afternoon, you ascend from the crater and drive to Karatu town, where you spend the night in a lodge or guesthouse surrounded by green hills and coffee plantations.

From Mto wa Mbu, you make your way to Lake Manyara National Park, a park celebrated for its dramatic scenery and rich biodiversity. The dense groundwater forest provides shade for troops of baboons and blue monkeys, while the open plains attract elephants and buffalo. The real highlight is the chance to spot the famous tree-climbing lions, a unique behavior rarely seen elsewhere. At the lake itself, flocks of flamingos, pelicans, and other waterbirds create a dazzling spectacle. After a rewarding game drive, you exit the park and return to Arusha in the evening, where you settle in for the night at your lodge or hotel.

Leaving Arusha behind, you head towards Materuni village, nestled on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. A short hike takes you through lush vegetation to the spectacular Materuni Waterfalls, where the water cascades 90 meters into a refreshing pool below. Adventurous travelers may enjoy a swim in the clear mountain waters. Afterward, you will join the local Chagga community for a coffee-making experience. From roasting and grinding the beans by hand to brewing your own fresh cup, the process is interactive and full of laughter. A traditional Chagga lunch completes the experience. Later in the afternoon, you drive to Kilimanjaro airport.
